July Mood Board and Goals
One of my favorite things about blogging is that there are no rules to what I do and how I do it. Now… that’s my little introduction to something new that I would like to share in this space.
So now that I am a blogger (I get so excited about saying that), I read a lot of inspiring content from other bloggers. It’s how I can stay current on trends and gain inspiration on what I want to share with you all. And since we are approaching the second half of the year, this is a great time to start sharing my goals and inspiration for the upcoming month.
I know I am a few days early, but we can almost call it what it is because of this Texas heat – it’s July! This is the time when I start getting adjusted to being off every Friday from work, right when it’s over at the end of the month. Things are beginning to open up a little more around the city, and I feel all of the summer vibes that I missed last year. Cool refreshing drinks, cute sundresses, and sandals with little to no support on the soles. And I can’t forget about the fog of fireworks and the smell of mosquito repellant from the upcoming holiday. Summer is finally here!
My July Goals
Here are my top 3 goals for this month.
I know I’m behind the curve on getting my summer body right, but I still want to focus on my health and physical activity this month. I will dust off my Fitbit (first find the charger) and be intentional about hitting 10k steps a day. I know the things that I put in my body are just as important as the physical activities, but I’ll just focus on one goal at a time. I need a strategy that ensures I'm not trying to rush all of my steps at the end of the day. Instead, pace myself and make every step count.
Content creation and Put Your Dukes Up! is significant to me. This month I want to focus on the blog from the perspective of why I started this work almost a year ago. I’ve been sitting on some things intended to encourage you, and I realize that I’m missing out on that opportunity by holding on to it.
Since I missed the deadline for spring cleaning, I will play a little catch-up during the summer. It’s time to do some decluttering and figure out what stays and what needs to go. I’ve already scheduled a pick-up day for my donations; now it’s time to do the actual work.
I am really excited about sharing with you in this way; it holds me accountable. I’ll keep you posted on my progress throughout the month, so make sure you follow me on Instagram. I would also love to know what your plans are for July, so share in the comments.
